FAQ

Positively Unstoppable FAQ

I'm in no way anywhere near being considered overweight. My question is with all the other people entering the challenge who need to lose 200-300lbs, would I even be considered to be a finalist?

We're not just looking at total weight loss. We're looking at everything holistically which is why we're requiring an essay and documentation with the final submission. It's about the overall quality of the transformation, not just the end result.

What are you looking for in the way of documenting your progress?

We will be looking at the initial goal you submitted, your before 6 photos, your after 6 photos, any video documentation you’ve care to share and the submission essay of your transformation.

How much video do we need to shoot?

There is not requirement that you shoot any video, although the better you document your transformation, the better you submission will be! We don’t need to see every single video you shoot, but some highlights of your journey along the way would be fantastic. You can always indicate that you’ve filmed every weigh in etc, but we don’t need to see every minute of video you’ve recorded along the way! We’d love to be able to use any footage you shot to tell your story at some point, so hold onto any videos even if you don’t send them. Additionally, no need to over edit your videos with graphics, text or music -- we actually prefer people send us video that we might be able to use in the future to create your story with our experienced editors -- if you only have clips with music embedded in them, it makes it more difficult to do so. Videos must be uploaded to YouTube.com and we suggest that the ‘Visibility’ be set to ‘Unlisted’. Once uploaded to YouTube, you can provide the video URL in the form field on the Promotion Site. Videos must not exceed 180 seconds.

How to shoot a video of yourself?

Be creative! Today most new mobile phones have amazing cameras, so you can always use your phone to film vlogs or weigh ins, or even workouts along the way (no need to film them all, but seeing how much easier workouts are for you over the course of 6 months can be extremely inspiring to others!). Always keep in mind that shooting video often requires good lighting, so try to film in well lit areas whenever possible, and keep the camera/phone close enough so the audio is clear.

Do I need to post my pics in the private FB group?

It’s not mandatory, although you will find a huge support center in the group that will inspire you. Just be sure to save your 6 before and 6 after photos for submitting once you reach your goal.

Do I need to post my videos in the private FB group?

It’s not mandatory, just be sure to save document your progress along the way. A short video is a great add, but we do not need EVERYTHING you record.

How am I supposed to submit?

Details will be coming soon on how to submit. You have till September 30, 2024 to submit and just because you submit early doesn’t mean your chances of winning will go up. We want to see you have a true transformation, so take your time and FOCUS!

Can I submit multiple times?

Although the rules say you can enter multiple times, there really is no true benefit for submitting multiple times. We recommend you enter only one time.

How often should I post in the private FB group?

The FB group is there to help you stay motivated, keep you accountable, find answers to your questions and to share your experience with others that are going through the same thing as you! Feel free to post your progress.

What if I’m concerned about what someone said in the group? Specifically, they seem to be suicidal.

Ask them to text HOME to 741741 to the Crisis Text Line for help.

Can I use before photos that I took a few months ago if I haven't lost any weight since then?

No, the before photos have to be dated after the challenge signup on January 1, 2024.
